Guided Winter Tours in English and German, to the Volcanic Eifel and Red Wine Valley in December, 2006. Extra tours will be offered in Spring, Summer and Autumn.
Rhein, Ahr, Eifel – Myth and History Guided by your personal Tarot Card, you will walk a magical route through a beautiful landscape to historical places of destiny and fate….. We are pleased to offer you a very special experience. A magical week in the enchanting Haus am Zeiberberg situated on the border of the Eifel Mountains and within easy reach of the romantic Rhine and Red Wine Valleys steeped in history and allure. Our local guide Astrid will accompany you on your daily trips to interesting places in the surrounding district. Partake in the special magic of the mystic-places, listen to the myths of the Ahr River, walk with us through wonderful landscapes and discover on a Witch-walk through an ancient town at night the original places of the witches’ fates.
Agenda: Monday: Day of arrival, from 2pm.
Tuesday: 10.am – Following breakfast your guide for the day will meet you at your vehicle. We take the waiting cars and go together to selected Springs in the Ahr Valley, followed by a guided discovery tour along the banks of the Ahr River to the elegant Bad Neuenahr. Return to Haus am Zeiberberg – free time to choose your own program, write a little in your diary or return to one of the cosy Restaurant-bars you saw on your day tour or perhaps you spend an exciting evening in the Casino of Bad Neuenahr.
Thursday: This day you can choose your own programm. In the evening we have something special for you. 7pm you will participate in a “Witches Walk” with the added bonus of the evening atmosphere, you will be informed of witches saga from the Medieval times. Just let your imagination and fantasy runaway with you………. With these narratives fresh in your mind, you are then free to enjoy a meal in a cosy wine restaurant within a short distance from where witches lived centuries ago…………..
Valley of the Ahr Friday: Usual starting time 10am.We will begin our mythical tour through the romantic valley of the Ahr. We will take you back in time to the original locations to revive the legends that you may have heard or read about in your school days. Maybe you noticed a pretty restaurant during the day where you would like to return to, to contemplate your adventures and relive them over a typical generously filled dinner plate, with your travelling companions.  
The Abbey of Maria Laach Volcanic Cave in the Brohl Valley Saturday: 10am start. Your final adventure, a tour through the land of volcanic activities of over 11,000 years, visit a thousand year old Abbey situated near a mysterious lake 2.5 km in diameter and 270 m deep, which lies in the midst of a swarm of tephritic and basanitic cinder cones that rise from a plateau blanketed with thick layers of white pumice. Saturday evening you are free to make your own plans.
Sunday: Time to say Goodbye! We hope you leave us with many memories and beautiful impressions from the Eifel Mountains, Rhine and Ahr Valleys.
Bed and Breakfast plus Guided Tours Price per person per week 500 Euro Price includes Bed and Breakfast in a double room for 6 nights. All tours are in German and if required, in English. Every morning, if you wish, you may draw a Tarot Card for the day and the significance will be explained to you. Your own private vehicle will be used for the tours, you may choose to form a group with other guests and alternate your cars on different days. The allocation of rooms will be made in the sequence of date of booking or family rooms requested. Groups of 4 to 20 will be accepted. You may also apply as a couple and be included in another group. Groups of less than 4 will be given a choice of other dates. Requirements: Walking shoes, Weatherproof Jacket, Rucksack to carry refreshments, Camera – you will have countless opportunities for taking snapshots. We wish that this Magical-week will be an individual holiday and one you will always remember. We recommend you bring a journey-diary to note your very own personal impressions, perhaps to take notes, sketch or so that you can relive your experiences with the different energy and stimulation of your personal Tarot Cards. All meals and refreshments during your guided tour are not included in the weekly price. In Sinzig, you will be offered a wide choice of international cuisine.
